Growing Thanks

Thanks are a growing wish.
In the evening I am grateful
for another day won;
another day of joy.

I don't always feel this way,
but the joy is there for me to find
as I amble through life.

In the next day I hope for a chance
to find an opening and way out.
It isn't that I don't like where I am,
but rather that I'd like to move forward.

The doors are opening this season,
I don't remember receiving
so many possibilities in days past.

I'll be open to unseen possibilities.
I can't forget where I've come from;
Friends help me to never return,
and I don't let the past chase me down.
